About The Gallery
Wood We Create Gallery opened in May 2013 when owner and resident artist David Barden followed his passion and dedicated full-time his interest to the further development of his craft.
David purpose built the initial gallery after moving to a property in Boambee at the end of 2012. The gallery included a workshop, storage space for timber as well as a gallery for David to display his and other local artisans products.
In 2023, David relocated his gallery and workshop to the New England North West region of NSW and settled in the artistic town of Walcha, situated in between Armidale and Tamworth, setting up the gallery on Fitzroy St (one of the two main streets in the village).
The setup allows David to make and sell products from locally sourced salvage timber, preserving nature in a way that is able to be passed on to generations.
David has made his gallery available to you on the shop page of this website but you are encouraged to visit Wood We Create when you next visit the New England High Country to experience the smells, the feel and the impact of Wood....we create.
